THE HAMPTONS -- Ground-breaking former model and restaurateur B. Smith, who had gone missing, has been found at a Manhattan diner.

A search for her had been underway in the Hamptons.

The 65-year-old has Alzheimer's disease.

She was last seen getting on a jitney bus on Tuesday afternoon, but she never arrived in Southampton as expected around 7:30 p.m.

Her daughter spoke with the driver who said Smith got off at Sag Harbor stop.

Eyewitness News has learned that friends are saying Smith got back onto the jitney and returned to the City.

Someone recognized her at a diner in Manhattan and called it in.

Smith was one of the first African-American models to grace the cover of "Mademoiselle".

When asked if her health was deteriorating, her husband said she has never walked away or gotten lost before.
