2 injured while trying to move tarp at Batavia High School

BATAVIA, Ill. (WLS) -- Two people were injured when they tried to move a tarp at Batavia High School during windy conditions.

Batavia Fire Dept. crews said they were called to the school's football fields at 3:15 p.m. Friday. Two people had to be taken to the hospital after the tarp they were trying to move near the fence line got caught up in the gusty winds, officials said. Their conditions were not released.

Fire officials are reminding anyone caught outside during high winds to take shelter next to a building and watch for flying debris.
