Edgar Kim, of Bolingbrook, has been charged for allegedly selling fake Chicago Blackhawks tickets on Craigslist.

WHEATON, Ill. (WLS) -- A Bolingbrook man has been charged for allegedly selling fake Chicago Blackhawks tickets on Craigslist, according to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

Edgar I. Kim, 29, has been charged with forgery, a class 3 felony, Sheriff John Zaurba said in a release. He was arrested on Thursday.

The sheriff's office received a call from the person who replied to the Craigslist ad and purchased the two tickets. The victim and the suspect met in unincorporated DuPage County to make the transaction, according to the sheriff's office.

The buyer didn't find out the tickets were fake until he or she went to the game, the release said.

The sheriff's office said multiple leads in the fake-ticket investigation led to Kim's arrest. He is being held in DuPage County Jail on $10,000 bond.

Blackhawks playoff tickets are now sale. But you have to be careful if you're purchasing them from someone you do not know. If you want to experience the playoffs in person, the tickets will cost you.

"Most tickets will trade, for 100 level, 200 level, my belief is $475 to $675," said Steve Buzil, Sit Close Tickets.

Officially, the team says: "We encourage fans to only purchase tickets from the United Center box office, Ticketmaster or the team's TicketExchange resale platform.

This is the only way to be sure that tickets are valid."
