Body recovered from Lake Michigan near Grant Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A body was recovered from Lake Michigan near South Lake Shore Drive and East Balbo Avenue, fire officials said.

The Chicago Fire Department and Chicago Police Marine Unit were called to the scene around 6:30 a.m. Monday.

Divers recovered a person from the water, who was dead at the scene. The victim has not been identified.

Investigators have not released further details.
