Boy, 12, walking dog in Gresham struck by bus

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 12-year-old boy was critically injured after he was hit by a bus in Chicago's Gresham neighborhood overnight.

Police said the boy was walking his dog in 1400-block of West 79th Street around 7 p.m. Wednesday. A source said the victim was struck when he chased his dog into the street.

The boy was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he is listed in critical condition.
