Three-car crash in Brainerd causes Metra delays

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A serious three car crash near West 95th Street and South Vincennes Avenue in the city's Brainerd neighborhood caused delays on the Metra Rock Island line, which has tracks nearby.

Police said a shooting nearby may have led to the crash. Emergency crews hat to cut out one person who was trapped in one of the cars, but no one was seriously injured.

Two people were taken into custody after the crash, police said.

All Metra Rock Island line operations returned to normal as of 8:30 p.m.
