8 hospitalized in 7-vehicle crash in Gurnee

GURNEE, Ill. (WLS) -- Eight people were hospitalized Monday evening in a seven-vehicle crash, which included a semi truck, in north suburban Gurnee, state police said.

The crash occurred at about 7 p.m. on Interstate 94 near Exit 132 near Six Flags Great America theme park.

Two people involved in the crash needed to be extricated by emergency crews.

One victim was in critical condition. Conditions of the other victims was not immediately available.
