CHICAGO (WLS) -- Several state leaders gathered on the city's Northwest Side Monday morning to celebrate Casimir Pulaski Day.
The ceremony was held at the Polish Museum of America in Noble Square. Governor Bruce Rauner, U.S. Senator Mark Kirk and Mayor Rahm Emanuel were among those who attended the event, which ended with a wreath-laying ceremony.
General Pulaski is remembered for leading the American Continental Army during the Revolutionary War.
