Man, 57, killed in collision crash in Ringwood

RINGWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- A 57-year-old man was killed after a collision between his motor vehicle and a pick-up truck in far north suburban Ringwood, police said.

Charles W. Schultz Jr., of Richmond, Ill., was driving southbound on Route 31 early Thursday morning when the collision occurred at the intersection with Ringwood Road, police said.

Schultz was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, and police are continuing to investigate.
