Chicago ATM fees 7th highest in country

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago ATM users pay higher out-of-network ATM fees than those in many other large cities, according to BankRate.

The Windy City has the 7th-highest fees in the country and an average out-of-network fee of $4.59. Nationwide, those fees jumped 23-percent in the last five years.

In Chicago, the average ATM overdraft fee is $31.80, the 6th lowest out of 24 large cities.
