Construction on Lake Shore Drive ramp starts Thursday

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Construction on the northbound Lake Shore Drive ramp that connects to outbound Interstate 55 starts Thursday morning, weather permitting.

The single-lane ramp will remain open to one lane of traffic during construction, but that lane will be reduced to a width of 11 feet.

Occasional overnight closures may occur while construction is ongoing.
