A teenager has died after being shot Saturday evening in Chicago's South Loop, Chicago police said.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- 19 people were shot, two fatally, in weekend gun violence across Chicago, police said.

A teenager has died after being shot in the parking lot of a bank in Downtown Chicago, police said.

The shooting happened Saturday evening at the 500-block of West Roosevelt Road near Canal Street, in the South Loop, authorities said.

When police arrived they found two people shot, both were taken to Stroger Hospital and were initially reported to be in critical condition.

A 17-year-old boy died at the hospital from his injuries.

Police said a 15-year-old boy was also shot in the leg. At last check he was in fair condition.

One person is in custody and Chicago police recovered a gun at the scene.

One person is dead after being shot at a stop sign on the city's Southwest Side, according to police.

The shooting happened around 11:54 p.m. on Saturday at the 2500-block of South Trumbell Avenue in Little Village.

The victims were in a vehicle stopped at a stop sign, when suspects stepped out of white sedan and started shooting, Chicago police said.

A 22-year-old man was shot in the head. He died from his injuries at Mt. Sinai hospital.

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg, he was also taken to Mt. Sinai. At last check he was in fair condition.

There is no one in custody and Area Four detectives are investigating the shooting as a homicide.
