CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Teacher's Union will rally Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Butler Field in Grant Park.
The gathering comes as some 5,000 teachers are facing potential layoffs by the end of the year due to the budget crisis in Springfield.
According to the CTU, thousands of teachers, parents and students are expected Monday night at Grant Park, similar to a rally held earlier this month at the Thompson Center.
Union President Karen Lewis will give the keynote address.
