Suspect sought in suburban armed robbery and carjacking

GURNEE, Ill. (WLS) -- Police in the northern suburbs are searching for a man who is wanted for an armed robbery in Gurnee and a carjacking in Waukegan.

Police say Christopher Hornezes carjacked a woman after a brief struggle in Waukegan on Thursday. A surveillance camera captured images of the suspect.

Then Friday morning he allegedly robbed a business in Gurnee, driving off in the stolen vehicle.

Police say he was armed with a knife in both cases.
