Proviso East coach hired back after altercation with student

MAYWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- A suburban basketball coach is getting his job back after he was fired more than a year ago after his altercation with a student was caught on camera.

The Proviso East school board agreed to bring back Donnie Boyce. The school fired him after video surfaced of him breaking up a fight in December 2014.

He was working as a security guard at the time.
