Comcast worker shot at in Kankakee

KANKAKEE, Ill. (WLS) -- A Comcast worker was shot at while working to repair a cable line in Kankakee Tuesday, police say.

The cable repairman was repairing a cable on a pole in the 400-block of South West Avenue, in the lift bucket of a cherry picker, when someone shot at him, the police report says. The worker was not hit, but the bullet did strike a cable attached to the pole.

Police are investigating the incident.
