CHICAGO (WLS) -- Many ComEd customers will see a credit of about $14 on their October bills thanks to Future Energy Jobs Act.
ComEd was approved Wednesday for an $80 million customer refund by the Illinois Commerce Commission.
The company requested the refund as part of its switch to a new energy efficiency funding mechanism implemented under FEJA, which requires ComEd to achieve a nearly 22-percent annual energy savings by 2030.
Governor Bruce Rauner signed FEJA into law in 2016.
