CHICAGO (WLS) -- A celebration of Cuban culture returns to Chicago August 11-13, 2017 at Riis Park. The 8th Annual Festival Cubano features a full schedule of music, dancing, boxing demonstrations, and entertainment during the three day festival.
The national costume segment of the Miss Teen U.S. Latina Beauty Pageant will be featured at the festival, for the first time in Chicago. Local and national musicians from Cuba and Latin America will rock the crowds. There's also a wide variety of chefs, arts & crafts, cigar rolling, a domino tournament, a health pavilion, school supply giveaways, and a carnival for everyone to enjoy.
Tickets to attend the Festival Cubano are just $15. Festival Cubano is produced by The Festival Cubano Foundation, a non-profit 501 (c3) organization dedicated to preserving the culture, history and arts of Cuba.
George Herrera, the founder and producer for Festival Cubano, joined ABC 7 live from Riis Park to talk about the event.
