CPS teachers to take practice strike vote

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago Public School teachers will take a practice run strike vote Thursday.

The purpose is to see how many members of the Chicago Teachers Union would vote and prepare for the possibility of a strike. Those results won't be released Thursday.

This comes as news that 5,000 jobs may have to be cut after the holiday break.
