Construction suspends, re-routes some service on CTA Red and Green Lines

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Weekend construction is causing re-routes and suspended service on parts of the CTA Red and Green Lines, officials said.

Green Line service will be suspended between the Roosevelt and 35th Street stations while crews work on the new stop at Cermak.

Also, track work has southbound Red Line trains re-routed from the subway to the elevated tracks between the Fullerton and Cermak-Chinatown stops.

Both changes are in effect until early Monday morning.
