Service restored on Red Line

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Southbound trains on the CTA's Red Line are back up and running after a mechanical problem forced service to be suspended near 63rd Street.

The CTA said the trains are still experiencing major delays on both the northbound and southbound trains..

Shuttle buses were being provided to take Red Line passengers to the 69th, 79th, 87th and 95th street stations.
