CHICAGO (WLS) -- A retired Chicago Public Schools teacher celebrated a special event on Sunday - her 109th birthday.
Daisy Driss, a long-time Lakeview neighborhood resident, gathered with friends and family for a brunch at Ann Sather on West Belmont.
Ald. Tom Tunney (44th Ward) also joined the party.
Driss was born on New Year's Day back in 1907 - the year the Chicago Cubs won the World Series and a postage stamp cost 2 cents.
