North Chicago pays man's family $3M after 2011 violent arrest

NORTH CHICAGO, Ill. (WLS) -- The City of North Chicago is paying $3 million to the family of a man who died following a violent arrest in 2011.

Darrin Hanna died one week after his family says six North Chicago police officers brutally beat him and used a stun gun.

The Lake County coroner ruled Hanna's death a homicide, but no criminal charges have been filed against the officers involved.
