1 dead in multi-vehicle Joliet crash on I-80

JOLIET, Ill. (WLS) -- At least one person is dead following a multi-vehicle accident in southwest suburban Joliet Sunday morning.

All eastbound lanes of the I-80 Expressway at Larkin had been shut down by Illinois State Police following the four-vehicle crash. All lanes have been reopened and traffic is back to normal in the area as of 5 p.m.

There is no word yet on what triggered that crash, which happened just before 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
