AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- Two men were critically injured in two separate drive-by shootings Friday night in Aurora, according to the Aurora Police Department. Both victims are in critical but stable condition.

The first incident took place at about 10:15 p.m. on the 600-block of Hinman Street and injured a 33-year-old man. Police say he was sitting on a front porch with two other people when shots were fired from an SUV and he was hit in the neck. He was taken to an Aurora hospital and transferred for further treatment to a suburban Chicago hospital.

The second incident occurred around 11:25 p.m. on the 300-block of South Spencer Street. Police say a 19-year-old man was shot as he was standing outside of a house with several other people. The vehicle in that incident is described as possibly a black Nissan Altima. Police say the car stopped in front of the house and fired a single round, which struck the victim in the chest. He was also transported to an Aurora hospital by paramedics for treatment.
