Venetian Night brings Broadway lights to Navy Pier

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A parade of illuminated boats was displayed on Lake Michigan for the 55th edition of Venetian Night.

This year it moved to Navy Pier.

Owners decorated the boats for this year's theme "Broadway on Parade," everything from Wicked, to South Pacific and Grease.

Prizes were awarded for high scores in three categories: Adherence to the overall theme, originality, and lighting and sound.

The boat parade concluded with the regular Saturday night Navy Pier fireworks show.
