Facebook down? Developers resolve issue

Facebook went down briefly Friday morning, as Twitter can tell you.

#facebookdown trended during the outage while Facebook apologized and engineers scrambled to fix the issue.

"Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can."

Facebook engineers swung into full speed after they "detected the issue quickly" and are "working to resolve it ASAP," according to the Facebook developer's portal.

A short time later, the social networking site reappeared complete with kitten videos, cute baby photos and food pics.
