CHICAGO (WLS) -- A federal investigation is cashing in on a crackdown and it is all thanks to the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup run.
Agents showed off more $180,000 worth of fake NHL items during the Stanley Cup Final and the Blackhawks victory parade and rally.
During the crackdown named "Operation Team Player," agents seized fake jerseys, hats, t-shirts and other souvenirs in both Chicago and Tampa, Fla.
Officials say counterfeiting across the world can costs businesses $600-700 billion a year.
