First responders' readiness tested for multiple tornado touchdowns

First responders were challenged during an exercise in southwest suburban Oak Forest to test their readiness if more than one tornado touched down in Illinois.

OAK FOREST, Ill. (WLS) -- First responders were challenged during an exercise in southwest suburban Oak Forest to test their readiness if more than one tornado touched down in Illinois.

Crews gathered at Cook County's Emergency Operations Center for "Operation Power Play," and they brought all of their gear with them.

The exercise involved first responders, emergency management teams and utility companies from all across the state.
