CHICAGO -- Chicago's Farmers Markets bring fresh fruits, vegetables, plants, flowers and many small-crafted items, like baked goods, honey and candles, downtown, as well as to neighborhoods around the city.

The season kicked off on May 15 at the city-run Daley Plaza Farmers Market, which is held on Thursdays. There are four farmers markets downtown -- Daley Plaza, Federal Plaza, Museum of Contemporary Art, and Willis Tower -- and many others around the city.

Chicago also has several independently run markets, some of which are open year-round.
