CHICAGO (WLS) -- Several cars of a freight train derailed on the city's South Side near 95th and Cottage Grove around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. No one was injured and Metra trains are not impacted, officials said.
The five derailed cars, four of which flipped over, were empty. The train stayed on railroad property, although it's not clear who owns that part of the tracks.
A spokesperson from Norfolk Southern said the train picked up the grain cars from Canadian National in Chicago and was on its way to Bellview, Ohio.
