Gary police officer hospitalized after squad car accident

GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- A police officer was injured in an accident involving a squad car in Gary, Ind., officials said.

The officer was hospitalized after the accident, which occurred near Grant Street and 9th Avenue Thursday evening, police said.

Officials have not released any other details.
