Family of pedestrian hit by pizza truck in Gold Coast files lawsuit

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The family of a woman killed last week when she was hit by a pizza delivery truck is suing company that employed the driver, Home Run Inn.

Georgiana Henley, 74, died last Tuesday after she was hit at the corner of LaSalle and Division in the Gold Coast neighborhood.

On Monday, her family and their attorney said the driver was going too fast and the accident that killed her should have been avoided if he was paying attention.

Home Run Inn has not returned our calls for a response to the lawsuit.
