Gold Star Mass honors fathers killed in line of duty

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Families and members of law enforcement gathered Sunday to remember fathers who were killed in the line of duty.

The Police Chaplains Ministry's Father's Day Mass is held every year at Gold Star Memorial and Park near Soldier Field.

A Mass is held in honor of those whose names are inscribed on the walls of the memorial.

Following the Mass, families take communion.
