A Good Samaritan helped track down a driver who struck two people Thursday night on an expressway in northwest Indiana.

Just before 7 p.m., a Lowell, Ind., woman driving a 1995 Dodge Intrepid drove off Interstate 65 near the U.S. 231 ramp and hit a vehicle and two people changing a flat tire on a second vehicle. The two people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

A witness saw what happened and followed the driver to a local motel.

Police arrested the driver and charged her with leaving the scene of an accident and drunken driving.
