'Chicago Gourmet' showcasing city's top restaurant, chefs

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Mayor Rahm Emanuel says Chicago is the gourmet capital of America and this weekend, you can judge for yourself.

More than 150 of the city's top restaurants and chefs are taking part in Chicago Gourmet at Millennium Park.

The mayor raised a toast to help kick off the event. Top spirit makers and brewers are there and if you want to improve your own cooking skills you can also take in live cooking demonstrations.
