CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 26-year-old man was fatally shot in the city's Gresham neighborhood, police said.
Brian Pridgeon was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 7900-block of Aberdeen Friday night after police received reports of gunfire in the area, officials said.
Pridgeon's brother works at St. Sabina Church with Father Michael Pfleger.
"It's not even warm yet, not even hot yet and shootings are up. Homicides are up. This is absolutely crazy," said Fr. Pfleger.
Pfleger organized a march Saturday afternoon to honor the man who was gunned down.
"I was angry and outraged and sad all at the same time. It happened a block from where my son was killed in 1998," he said.
There is no word on any arrests or suspects.
