Groupon sued over alleged Instagram photo use

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The deal site Groupon is accused of stealing people's pictures.

A woman, who has filed suit against the company, claims Groupon took pictures from her Instagram without her consent and then used it for commercial gain.

The class action lawsuit claims Groupon has done this several times before.

According to its website, Instagram does not allow advertisers to use uploaded photos without users' consent.

Groupon has not commented.
