Men arrested after high speed chase due in bond court

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two men arrested after a high-speed chase through Chicago streets are due in bond court Thursday.

Chopper 7 HD caught exclusive video as police chased two robbery suspects Tuesday afternoon near Roosevelt and Homan. Police say the chase began with an armed robbery in the 2600-block of West 23rd Street.

After dodging vehicles the suspects ditched their car in a parking lot in the 3900-block of West Grenshaw Street. Though police thought they had them cornered, one of the men tried to make a run for it but was caught.

Robert Rhondes, 18, and Arneal Thornton, 19, are both charged with armed robbery.
