Glenwood man charged in fatal hit and run

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Charges have been filed against 26-year-old Thomas Hicks of Glenwood, Ill., in a hit and run that killed 48-year-old Davean Smith near 95th and Vincennes

Chicago police have charged Hicks with one felony count of Failure to Report an Accident/Death.

Smiths' family says she got off a bus at 95th and Vincennes and was walking southbound on Vincennes to meet a friend in the area when she was struck. She later died of her injuries.
