Humpback whale nearly jumps on top of kayakers

MONTEREY, Calif. (WLS) -- Some California kayakers got the thrill, or scare, of a lifetime when a massive humpback whale came out of the water and splashed down nearly on top of them.

The kayakers were off the coast near Monterey. Some in the group wound up clinging to their kayaks, but still with wide smiles on their faces.

Nobody was injured.
