CHICAGO (WLS) -- As the budget crisis in Springfield continues, a march was held Saturday at the Thompson Center against the proposed budget cuts.
Protesters are worried that economically-challenged neighborhoods will be hit the hardest.
Rev. Jesse Jackson, the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and union leaders were behind the event.
The group says those who are unemployed or who are living in government subsidized housing will be most impacted by the cuts.
They're asking Springfield to be mindful of those who cannot help themselves.
