New Veterans Cash lottery ticket launched

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Governor Pat Quinn launched the newest Veterans Cash instant lottery ticket, a $5 ticket from which all proceeds go directly to benefit Illinois veterans.

The Veterans Cash program has awarded more than $11.7 million in grants to more than 240 veterans' organizations statewide since 2006. The grants that fund services and research relating to job training and employment, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, homelessness, long term care, medical expenses and other assistance.

The tickets are available at Illinois Lottery retail locations statewide.
