Illinois Supreme Court reopens after 13-month renovation

CHICAGO (WLS) -- After 13 months, the big makeover of the Illinois Supreme Court building is finally done.

The century old building reopened today with updates to its courtrooms, library, offices and work areas. Renovations include new heating, cooling, plumbing and ventilation systems.

The cost of renovation work came in just under 16 million dollars.

Justices go back to work September 8th.
