With Easter just around the corner, store shelves are stocked with all kinds of chocolate eggs. Some of these are so huge you have to cradle them like a baby.

Here's a step-by-step look at how those imperial chocolate eggs are made. It was released as an ad by Betty's, a bakery in the U.K.

They start with two shells shaped like halves of an egg. They pour in chocolate totaling almost 12 pounds, the company says, and fill each half with three layers of chocolate to thicken the shell. Chocolate shell piping is used to seal the two halves together.

Betty's is only the most recent to divulge the details of its over-sized egg creation. Other bakeries have revealed their secrets, too.

The only question left to answer is how much the Easter bunny has to work out to be able to carry all that chocolate.
