ROSEMONT, Ill. (WLS) -- The original "Incredible Hulk" actor got quite an honor at Wizard World Comic Con in Rosemont Sunday.

Lou Ferrigno was sworn-in as an honorary Rosemont public safety officer.

The actor has been a reserve sheriff's deputy in Los Angeles County and San Luis Obispo County.

Rosemont hosted the annual festival of pop culture at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center over the weekend. The annual event brings together tens of thousands of fans to celebrate all forms of superhero fun. That includes movies, toys, TV shows, video games, and even collectible art pieces.

Wizard World is Chicago's biggest and longest-running comic con show.
