Unidentified woman found thrown from vehicle

GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- The Lake County, Ind., coroner's office is asking for help identifying a woman who was killed after being thrown from a vehicle on New Year's Day.

She is described as African American, 30 to 40 years old, 5'6" tall and weighing 255 pounds.

The victim has a heart and arrow shaped tattoo on her upper left arm that says "Pat."

Anyone who may know the victim is asked to contact the Lake County Coroner's Office.
