Chicago police issue alert after home burglaries in Jefferson Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police have issued an alert for people living in the Jefferson Park neighborhood after a string of daylight robberies.

All five of the burglaries happened last month within the boundaries of Central to Nagle avenues and Montrose to Peterson avenues between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The robberies occurred in the 5700-block of West Wilson Avenue on Sept. 8, the 5300-block of North Mulligan Street on Sept. 17, the 6100-block of West Higgins Avenue on Sept. 21, the 6300-block of West Bryn Mawr Avenue on Sept. 30 and the 5100-block North Monitor Avenue on Sept. 30.

Police electronics, jewelry and cash being taken in the burglaries.
