Men break in to jewelry store, find no jewelry

STREAMWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- An attempted burglary at a suburban jewelry store was over almost as soon as it started because the display cases were empty.

Security cameras captured the break-in and shows a man throwing a rock through the front window of Vaughn Garouche Jewelry Collection in suburban Streamwood.

Another man is seen in the video running inside the store, but quickly realizing that there was no jewelry in the displays.

When the security alarm went off, the would-be thieves ran away.

No one is in custody.
