Albany Park man dies in police custody

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police say a 41-year-old man died after they arrested him Tuesday night on the Northwest Side.

Johnny Lopez, who lived in the 4600 block of North Monticello, was found unresponsive in the lock-up area at the 16th District station at 5151 N. Milwaukee.

The cause of death is a mystery. An autopsy on Lopez was inconclusive. Now, the medical examiner is waiting on the outcome of toxicology tests.
